Tracie Leonard joined Wood Residential Services as the Senior Vice President of the East Region in fall 2015. During her extensive career she has held key roles for Mill Creek Residential Trust, Bozzuto Management and Development Companies, Lincoln Property Company as well as her own consulting group, Focus Realty Advisors where she advised prominent organizations such as Federal Capital Partners, Quadrangle, Mid-City Financial, Archstone-Smith and others.

Leonard's career started with Lincoln in Atlanta, Georgia where was quickly promoted to Regional Property Manager. Upon transferring with Lincoln to Washington, DC, Leonard was recruited by the Bozzuto Group for a dual Regional Manager and Director of Training position and within a year was promoted to VP of Property Management. Two years later she was offered the VP of Development position and successfully led the development process of seven projects. Leonard formed her consulting company after Bozzuto and most recently worked for Mill Creek Residential as the VP of Operations for the Mid-Atlantic.

At Mill Creek she was tasked with creating a management presence in the Mid-Atlantic utilizing her broad and varied experiences to transition two lease-up communities from third party managers to Mill Creek, transition and managed a third-party acquisition as well as open four additional lease-ups all while assisting the development and acquisition teams with pre-development consulting and due diligence services.

Leonard has a solid track record of quality recruiting, team building and leading. She has consistently provided and executed strategic plans that increase a community’s values and meet the owner’s objectives for both company owned and third-party clients. Through her consistence performance, she has established strong relationships with many institutional owners as such as Rockwood, AEW, JP Morgan and Northwestern as well as smaller regionally based owners.

Leonard has held the Certified Property Manager designation since 1993 and is a licensed Maryland Real Estate Broker. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and completed post graduate work at University of West Florida in Pensacola while working as the Student Housing Area Coordinator. In addition she is an active member of IREM and the local and national apartment associations.
