UCSB residential Services
Whether you just need a snack between classes, a full-course meal, or a cup of our fair-trade organic coffee, we make it easy for you to get what you want, when and where you want it! There are no limits on the number of times you can enter the Dining Commons during each meal period.* You choose the number of swipes per week that meets your needs: unlimited, 17, 14 and 10, which can be supplemented with the optional Plus Plan program. Depending on the Plus option you choose, you’ll have between $300-$900/year to use at other UCSB on-campus outlet locations.
*THE FINE PRINT: If you want to enter the Dining Commons after you have used all of your allotted weekly swipes, you will be billed via BARC at the guest meal rate for each excessive entry (currently $12/meal). Meal entries are re-set Monday morning and unused entries do not roll forward.
What does a meal plan cost you?
For students living in the UCSB Residence Halls, the cost of your meal plan is included with your room and board. Room and Board fees are calculated using a combination of your selected Meal Plan, Plus Plan, and your room type. Please refer to the Room & Board Rates for details. Students living in the residence halls sign up for meal plans when they register for housing.
