I worked for FirstService for 8 months, first I was an attendant at one of their gates communities and that job was really easy and the pay for an entry level job like that was pretty decent, Eventually I transferred to the main office to be the office admin and only lasted 2 days.

First and biggest complaint is there is no communication not even in the same office which is the reason i quit. Being new to the office there was alot to learn and i am pretty self sufficient but i cant just spontaneously know how to properly do something if i have never seen how it was done or supposed to be done before. The office culture seemed very fake and i could tell there were cliques within the office usually i try to talk to everyone but this is the one work environment I could not break. There were a few good people who were pretty high up on the totem pole who I wished i could of worked with directly.

To be honest I did not learn a single thing at this job i literally did nothing all day for 8 hours because I didn't know what to do or how to do anything, when i transferred to the office I felt very uncomfortable like I was always being watched and judged, I also felt like i was gonna get fired any second. There is room to grow if you take the proper steps they provide free manager training for associates, every office is different so it just depends on if you get lucky
